Want to apply for bariatric surgery through the Obesity Community Fund? 

This is how it works: 

  1. Apply: Complete the application form (available online or from our office). 

     

  2. Contribute: Pay a monthly support fee of R500 (non-refundable). 

     

  3. Submit: Send in required documents (ID, financial, and medical info). This can be done via the online application form, or you can email info@obesitycommunityfund.co.za.  

  4. Review: Your application is reviewed by our board and medical panel. 

  5. Selection: If selected, you pay a once-off admin fee of R10,000 before surgery. 

  6. Support: Even if not selected, you still receive counselling, access to events, and educational support - and your contributions help others. 

Terms and Conditions ​

  • The R500 monthly fee is non-refundable and paid over 60 months. 

  • Selection for surgery depends on need, health profile, and fund resources. 

  • R10,000 admin fee is due only upon selection. 

  • Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. 

  • All information must be truthful and complete. 

  • You may access or update your personal data under POPIA.
